In 1975, a star was born: The Porsche 911 turbo. Since then, the Porsche 911 turbo has always been the top-of-the-range model in Porsche’s 911 line.
Since then, many version of the “Porsche turbo” theme have followed, and they weren’t even limited to the 911 – think of the legendary Porsche 944 turbo, for example.
45 years of Porsche turbo is a good time for a summary of all members to the Porsche turbo family. So, here we are:
An impressive line-up of sport cars from beginning to end, no doubt. All of them have earned their place in the automotive hall of fame!
My favorite one? The 911 turbo 3.6 (964 modem), introduced in 1993. I love its looks, it’s still got the widow-maker genes, and it’s still an unbelievably fast car today. Last not least, it’s a movie star. Just have a look at the very first scene of the Bad Boys movie:
